What it is

Make/receive calls anywhere there’s Wi-Fi (home, hotel, office) and use your Salt subscription as usual. No roaming fees. No extra app needed.

How it works

Wi-Fi Calling requires a compatible phone and only needs to be activated once in your device settings. To avoid network interference, simply turn on flight mode first, then enable Wi-Fi. *

How much it costs 

Wi-Fi Calling comes at no extra cost and is available even with PrePay plans. Calls and SMS have no roaming fees and are billed as if you were in Switzerland.

What is included

The service works automatically by switching to the best available Wi-Fi. It doesn’t require an app and doesn’t use mobile data.

Device Compatibility

Guaranteed for phones bought via Salt (stores, online, customer care). Some prepaid phones from certain manufacturers may not be supported. See list of compatible devices page.

*Important exceptions


If your plan includes roaming but not international calls, making a Wi-Fi call from abroad could be billed as an international call. In that case, use conventional cellular network.
